About our group | Mō te roopu 

 

The Corporate Services Group works in close partnership with the wider business to lead, support, and enable the EPA to achieve its strategic intentions and effectively and efficiently deliver its core functions.  

 

There are four key functions within the Corporate Services Group. These are: 

  

  • Information Management and Technology - This function leads, maintains, and supports the EPA’s IT and information management services, implements new hardware and software, assists staff with IT training and support, and ensures systems security.  

  • Finance and Business Services  

  • People and Capability  

  • Communications and Customer  

   

Senior Advisor Information Management 

 

The Senior Advisor Information Management manages information and records to facilitate efficient access, retrieval and compliance and control. The role develops and oversees that systems for managing the life cycle of EPA records and information resources are effective and maintained to align with the changing needs of the business.  

 

The role provides senior-level expertise to the information management team, strategic support to the Information Management team and ensures quality and consistency of advice to EPA teams and stakeholders to promote and support best practice information management behaviour and compliance with the EPA’s statutory obligations under the Public Records Act. 

 

About the role | Mō te tūnga  

 

  • A typical day will involves working alongside IT to oversee systems for managing customer needs and working through options with them, some user training and guidance, plus leading broader IM projects. 

  • Current IM projects include electronic records lifecycle management, physical records disposal, information resources evaluation framework  

  • You will be successful in this role when you have a strong understanding of the place of information at EPA, excellent business relationships and show a desire for continuous improvement. 

 

About you | Mōhou ake  

 

We are looking for someone with a range of skills and experience – if you have some or all of the below, we would love to hear from you. 

 

  • Ability to build strong working relationships and engage collaboratively with internal customers and key stakeholders. 

  • Good understanding of best practice information management and how it can be applied. 

  • Skills in developing and implementing information management frameworks, and processes and guides.   

  • Experience managing content in electronic information management systems and physical records in a public sector environment.  

  • Sound knowledge and application of relevant legislation and standards, especially the Public Records Act 2005.   

  • Excellent working knowledge of SharePoint as a business user is essential.

Salary range |   

 

Senior Advisor 

$79,498 - $119,373 per annum (midpoint $99,373). 

 

These are the full salary ranges. Appointments are made within the range depending on skills and experience.
